Connecting your investment accounts
How Turtleway will let you link your investment accounts, what financial data we access, and how to disconnect at any time.

Turtleway hasn't launched publicly yet, so the details below describe how connecting your investment accounts will work once the app is live.
How will I connect an account?
To track your portfolio in one place, you'll be able to securely link your investment and brokerage accounts from inside the Turtleway mobile app. We use Plaid, a financial-data provider trusted by thousands of apps, to make that connection.
When you connect an account, Plaid opens its own secure screen ("Plaid Link") where you sign in to your financial institution. You enter your credentials directly with Plaid. Turtleway never sees or stores your bank or brokerage login.
What data does Turtleway access?
With your authorization, Plaid retrieves your account data and shares it with Turtleway so we can show and track your portfolio. This includes things like:
- your investment holdings and positions;
- transactions and transaction history;
- account balances and values;
- basic account details (account type, a masked account number, and the name of your institution).
We use this information only to provide the portfolio features you ask for. We do not sell your financial data. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy, and review Plaid's end-user privacy policy to understand how Plaid handles your information.
How do I disconnect an account?
You're always in control of a connection you've made:
- In the app. Disconnect any linked account from inside Turtleway at any time. This stops Turtleway from retrieving new data for that account.
- Through Plaid. You can review and revoke the connections you've made across all apps at my.plaid.com.
When you disconnect an account or delete your Turtleway account, we delete the associated financial data, except where we're required to keep limited information for legal reasons. See Account deletion for more.
